Recommit

Today I started a new little workout booklet. I also decided to recommit myself. I had a terrible weekend this weekend which just goes to show that my parents' house is not going to be the best place for me to stay this summer (I'm back up to 219 after this weekend, but my weight doesn't actually count until Wednesday, so I'm hoping it will lower itself back down to 215 by then. I've got my fingers crossed). Therefore, I will be going forward with my plan to move out and into a friend's house.
Anyway, I think it's time to recommit and so I am, today. I'm going to keep going!

A Small Loss

I've had a rough couple of days as far as dieting goes, and when I weighed in today, I hadn't drunk any water yet, but I still dropped a pound. I'm officially at 215 today, which means I've lost twenty pounds as of today. Score!

I exercised for an hour and a half today: half hour-stationary bike, half hour weight-lifting, twenty minutes-eliptical, and somewhere ten minutes got lost in there. So I'm feeling pretty good about today. Although, I was supposed to give blood at 1:00 and I totally forgot. I'll have to call and see if they have any open time in about an hour.

Time to get back on track

The last two days have been terrible! I don't know what it is about coming home at night that makes me want to eat everything. But I've felt that way, and I basically have eaten everything.

It's not really showing in the scale too bad, but I need to get back on track because it is showing a bit.

I think the best thing going for me is that I am coming up on a Saturday. I have a book I really want to read, and if I cheat today I won't be able to read tomorrow. Luckily, my self control has been enough to enforce the no reading punishment so far.

Last night was a mess, though. If I hadn't had that half hour nap before class, I likely would have gone to bed right when I got home and not even had the opportunity to cheat. As it was, it was a doozy.

I've also produced a list of mini goals. The first mini goal was 25% which I hit last time. The next goal is losing a total of 20 lbs which I should hit next Wednesday provided I can keep myself on the diet for the rest of the week. I'm not sure what the goal is after that, but I'll post a full list sometime soon.

Previous Highest Weight

Down to 216 today (216.8 was my previous highest weight of my life. Had my period this week. That's what really did it. Yes!

So I hit 25% of my goal today as well. That's nothing to sneer at.

Success!

Down to 220, baby! Yeah! That's 15 pounds right there.

I've been a little off. I went on a trip an that threw me a little, but not too much I guess, and I'm on again today!

Incentives

I was up two pounds yesterday (my normal weigh-in day) which is totally my fault because I was off my diet for several days. On the other hand, the last two days have been really good. I have discovered the power of having good incentives. The other week I told myself I couldn't buy a certain book unless I stayed on my diet for the next seven days. I was perfect.

Unfortunately, it's pretty dang hard for me to come up with good incentives for myself, but this week I had a stroke of brilliance!

I like to read, but not necessarily to buy, books. My new incentive is that if I'm perfect on my diet, I'm allowed to read for pleasure the next day, but if I'm not perfect on my diet, no reading. So far, so good.

I'll let you know how it goes.
